The UCP Executive Council Budget Comparing 2022 to 2025
Danielle Smith's Ministry (there's some info from education and health care as well)
I pulled this research awhile ago and tucked it away. I was looking for the expenses for the Executive Council for 2025 to update my spreadsheets (I will post more about that later). I found this in my files and thought you might be interested in it. I went back to 2022 when Danielle first took over as party leader - this is a screenshot of the breakdown of the entire budget for each Ministry.
Budget 2022 Executive Council Budget - $15 Million
In the 2024 - 25 Budget the Executive Council’s Budget grew to $57 Million

2025-28 Business Plan $62,476,000 budget for Executive Council which includes the Office of the Premier at $26,334,000, Intergovernmental Relations $23,595,000 and Invest Alberta Corporation at $17,463,000. How many Doctors, Nurses, Teachers and Support staff could we hire for Albertans with some of that money. In three years we have gone from $15 million to $62 million. Granted she has folded the Energy War Room into her office. She has taken the publicity department under her wing as well. She has even taken Invest Alberta under her direct control for $17 million/year which is almost as much as her whole office budgeted for in 2022.

This is concerning to us at ABResistance because this government is saying that they are fiscally responsible and can manage money responsibly. I will be posting about the Executive Council’s expenses for this year to date (meaning they have posted to the end of May of 2025.) What do you think? Are they being fiscally responsible?
I also noticed this - and checked out Education funding.
Education - if you want to know how much spending increased per student since 2022, I have done the work for you.
2022 - they spent $7.707 billion on education and had 745,770 students registered in Grades K - 12 which gave schools an average of $10,334 per student
2024 - they spent $9.252 billion on education and had 825,817 students registered in Grades K - 12 which gave schools an average of $11,200 an increase of $864 increase.
Charter schools are funded 100% and Independent (Private) schools are funded 70%.
This is why education is in crisis and teachers are going on strike.
Health Care - Let’s look at health care:
2022 - they spent $21.418 billion and we had a population of 4.5 million. The government spent $4759.56 per Albertan.
2024/25 - they spent $25.669 billion and we had a population approaching 5 million. The government spent $5133.80 per Albertan, an increase of $374.24 per Albertan.
Inflation has gone up. This is why health care is in crisis.
Yet this government is taking trips to support oil and gas. The United States is also a primary focus with the government wanting to build relations. How is this helping Albertans?

The UCP is on track to destroying public health care & public schools in Alberta. PERIOD. They are skillful at controlling the narrative and judicial branch to minimize the outcome of blatant corruption that is ongoing. There needs to be a vigorous & powerful pushback against the strong financial support the UCP has in their ties to U.S. promoters who want to have Canadians in their pocket.
They are MAGA UCP CPC.. We HAVE to Protect Alberta and in turn of Course our Sovereignty in Canada..
Down with Smith Poliviere, Jean , LaGrande and MAGAtts Canada Wide..
