Good for the Onion Lake First Nations for having the insight to file for their rights years ago already. This has one has potential to hold some weight in the fight against sovereignty and separatism.
every first nations should join Onion Lake. Its time tge premier was shown she is not trump an d can not thumb her nose at first nations and the majority of Albertans
Or is this her way of getting out from under the separatists? By letting Onion Lake solve that issue for her while she shrugs and tells them " I tried!"
The Sovereignty Act was always performative. It's tough to defend something like this in legal terms (so they must have determined it was more valuable to just not respond). The longer the Sovereignty Act remains "a thing", the longer they can use it in conversations.
Kudos to the Onion lake Cree nation, for continuing to pursue upholding the law, protecting treaties, and stopping this Premier from separating us Albertans from Canada,
I worry that Smith can somehow sway or threaten the courts the way trump did. What happens if we lose? I would love nothing better than to see Smith Lose!
So proud of you OLFN!
Don't ever back down. Most of those renegades have no clue about our history. ❤️

Oh my those pesky little rules just bite the arrogant. 🤣💯
Interesting possibility Charlene.
Well done! It would be absolutely wonderful if you win against her! She’s so arrogant and thinks she’s so smart.
She’s not. She’s dangerously malleable. We need her AND her government out of power.
Danielle Smith reminds me of Don Quiote, always chasing windmills. A big puff of cold air looking for a foil.

Great question. We shall have to see how this plays out.
