Another group has been scheduled to go right after us that has a different viewpoint than we do. In order to ensure the safety of all participants, we have chosen to reschedule our event so everyone can come down and enjoy themselves safely. It is a time for all Albertans to stand together against the Alberta Government and its Authoritarian actions. (We have an opportunity for a group action - if you would like to participate, join us at 12:30 at the north steps so we can set up the event - it involves red capes and white hats)

On Thursday, Oct 30 • 12–2 pm • Alberta Legislature (Edmonton), we’re gathering to say no to forced transfers off AISH and no to deeper poverty. This rally is organized by the People’s Alliance for Disabled Albertans (PADA)—disabled people, families, and allies
Why we’re showing up:
The government plan would move most people on AISH to ADAP with a $200 lower base rate,
Reclassification without real choice = greater risk of poverty and harm.
We demand equitable access, income security, and dignity.”
Time: 12 to 2 pm
Location: Alberta Legislature, north plaza (I am seeking clarification on the precise location so that people don’t go the wrong place)
