Saturday, September 6, 2025, the Alberta Separatists are planning another day of flag-waving and banners on overpasses. We can let them know that we are Canadians Forever. We will post when and where these will be happening once we know. This last Saturday, they were on the 112 Ave/Wayne Gretzky overpass. A convoy of Canadians and Indigenous elders made a few passes to let them know they were on Treaty Six Territory and that we are all Canadians. Let’s make Some Good Trouble. The Calgary Environmental Round Table is holding an online Candidate Forum
The Calgary Environmental Roundtable (CERT) is a coalition of Calgary-based organizations, community groups, and individuals who care deeply about protecting the environment. Our members represent a broad network of environmental and climate advocates, working collaboratively to ensure that Calgary’s decisions today build a healthier tomorrow.
The CERT Candidate Virtual Campaign Launch will be held on September 9th, at noon MST. This event is open to you, our membership, and media. Former City of Calgary Councillor, Bob Hawkesworth, joins us to answer the CERT survey questions from his perspective as a former, longstanding representative of our city and province.
TUNE IN at 12:00 pm MST on September 9th.

Warburg/Pembina Surface Rights Group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. It is well worth the trip and time to meet Carl, who is an expert on all things regarding gas wells on farms in the area. Mark Dorin and a special guest from the Alberta Government will be there to talk about the Government’s plan to address the abandoned oil and gas well situation. Surface rights meetings in Warburg and Didsbury attracted government attention.
Chief of staff for Energy and Minerals Brian Jean, Vitor Marciano came to both meetings on the Mature Asset Strategy.
So Mr. Marciano was invited to speak at Warburg September 9. He accepted.
Should be a good meeting. Media, county counsellors and others have undertaken to attend.
Doors open at 6:30 pm. Forever Canadian canvassers will be there if you would like to sign as well.

The Alberta Next Panel:
Alberta Next | 2026 Vote: Have Your Say
Real change starts with you. Let your voice be heard at Alberta.ca/next. Alberta may hold a referendum in 2026. Help decide what’s on it.
The Alberta Next Panel conversations are based on the Free Alberta Strategy authored by Barry Cooper, Derek From, and Rob Anderson (Danielle Smith’s Chief of Staff): https://www.freealbertastrategy.com/the_strategy
They also have a website:
https://www.freealbertastrategy.com/
They are organized and have money. We need to stand up and show that we oppose their plans. We made them blink on the expense account, on book bans, and on vaccines for health care workers. We have the power! Keep making noise!
Let’s all work together to make Alberta work for everyone!
The next town halls are:
Lethbridge on September 11th
Airdrie on September 15th
Grand Prairie on September 17th
Calgary on September 29th
Online October 1st and 22nd
The links will be live on the website 2 weeks before each town hall.
Here are the links for the six completed town halls.
